Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 25, 2026
Legal Help (“we”, “us”) runs this website to connect people who were hurt in car accidents with participating personal injury attorneys for a free case review. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
Legal Help is attorney advertising. We are not a law firm and we do not give legal advice.
What we collect
- What you type into our form: your first and last name, mobile phone number, email address and the state where the accident happened.
- Your answers about the accident: what type of accident it was, whether you were hurt, when it happened, who was at fault, and whether you already have a lawyer.
- Basic technical details: your browser and device type, the page that sent you here (for example, an ad you clicked), and your approximate location based on your internet connection. We use the location only to pre-fill the state question, and you can change it.
- How you use the page: which questions you reached, how long you spent, and where on the page you tapped. This does not include what you type into the form.
Why we collect it
We use your information to:
- connect you with a participating attorney who can review your case;
- contact you by phone, text message or email about your case review;
- keep a record of your request so we can follow up and answer your questions;
- measure how well our advertising works and improve this website.
Who we share it with
- Participating law firms. We share your contact details and answers with a participating law firm that handles cases like yours in your state, so an attorney or their staff can contact you about your case. That firm’s own privacy policy covers what it does with your information.
- Service providers who work for us. For example, the companies that host this website, store our records, and place our calls and texts. They may use your information only to provide their service to us.
- Advertising partners, as described under “Cookies and the Meta Pixel” below.
- When the law requires it, for example to answer a valid court order.
We do not share your information with anyone else for their own marketing.
Cookies and the Meta Pixel
This website uses cookies and similar tools:
- Meta Pixel and Conversions API. We use Meta’s (Facebook’s) tools to measure whether our ads lead to case review requests. When you submit the form, we send Meta a notice that a request was made, along with your email, phone, name and state in a scrambled (hashed) form so Meta can match the request to an ad without reading your details. Meta may use cookies on your device for this. You can manage ad settings in your Facebook account and in your browser.
- Session recording. We use Smartlook to see how visitors move through the page so we can make it easier to use. It is set not to record what you type into the form.
- Our own visit counter, which counts visits and which questions were reached. It does not store your name, phone, email or internet address.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The form still works without them.
Calls and text messages
When you submit the form, you agree that Legal Help and a participating attorney may contact you about your case by phone, text message or email at the number and address you gave, including by automated means. Agreeing is not required to get help.
- To stop texts, reply STOP to any message. You will get one message confirming that you are unsubscribed. Reply HELP for help.
- To stop calls, tell the caller you do not want any more calls, or use the contact form below.
- How often we message you depends on your case review. Your mobile carrier’s usual messaging terms apply.
We do not share your phone number or your consent to receive texts with anyone for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as we need it to connect you with an attorney and follow up about your case review, and to keep records the law requires. We generally delete or anonymize it within three years of your last contact with us. You can ask us to delete it sooner using the contact form below.
Your choices
- Ask to see the information we have about you.
- Ask us to correct it or delete it.
- Tell us to stop contacting you.
Depending on your state, you may have more rights under your state’s privacy law. We will not treat you differently for using them. A law firm we already connected you with keeps its own records, so contact that firm directly about information it holds.
Keeping it safe
The form is sent over an encrypted connection, and we limit who can see your information. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not include anything in the form you would not want an attorney’s office to see.
Children
This website is meant for adults. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to fill in the form for you.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
